One of my best friends and I go to a Catholic High School. Both she and I are in the “top ten” at our high school for our accomplishments. We all have posters with our pictures and a short biography on them hanging up in the school. The bishop along with the diocese are trying to get the school to take down her poster because she is openly gay. The school has received “hate mail” regarding her sexual orientation. She should not be punished for her sexuality. She has the right to be honored and praised for her achievements along with the rest of us.

I’m that student, and I can’t tell you how upset I am that prejudice like this still exists.
